TRL Rules
Sending Challenges
Each round every player will send & recieve a challenge on the same map. Details of who challenges whom can be found on the fixtures page.
Please make sure that challenges are sent with the following paramaters:
- Match type: Friendly (unless agreed otherwise in advance with opponent)
- Map: As specified on fixture list (notice that each round uses a single map only)
- Scenario: Wipeout
- Race: Any
- Force Points: 30 (regardless of how many fp you intend to deploy, all matches must be set to 30fp)
- Turn Limit: 30 turns
- Time Limit: 15 days
Deployment
You may deploy any race you wish, there are no unit restrictions at all. You may deploy from 10fp up to 30fp at your own discretion. 10fp of each match is "free", every fp over this that you deploy will be deducted from your tactical reserve. You can keep track of this on the scores page.
To deploy less than 30fp in a 30fp game you need to use what is known as the T-method. To use the T-method you will need to edit your LSN Interface.cfg file. More information can be found here, and at the running man site here. If you've installed a newer version of the lsn client, you'll have to perform this set up again.
Reporting
An email should be sent to the administrator to report the following conditions:
1) when a challenge is sent, and has not been deployed in 10 days
2) when no challenge has been received, and you want to claim a default.
3) Any other problems
Please put both your player name and that of your opponent in the subject line of the email, and details in the body of the text.
Reporting Finished Matches
It is required to send a wholegame from each finished match to the administrator. Please put your player name into the subject line of the email. Matches that do not have a valid wholegame sent to the administrator by the start of the next round will be scored as a default. If you are feeling helpful, you may include the details of how many fp in the text of the email, although this is not neccessary.
Defaults
If one or other player is deemed to have defaulted a match then the player(s) will be scored as if they had deployed 25 fp and lost. There will be no other penalty.
If a player does not get to play because they are defaulted against, they will be scored as if they had deployed 18 fp and won, although no bonus for deploying fewer fp's will result.
A default victory will be awarded 10 days after the round begins. Fp's will bedeemed deducted from this date. If you do not have enough fp's left for a default victory you will not be penalised.
Time Outs
A timeout will result in the player who has not timed out being awarded victory, regardless of the current game score. Bonus points may be scored by timeout situations.
Substitutions
If a player is unable to take part, he may get a substitute player to compete in his place. This is permitted only twice over the season (ie. Two matches, not two rounds).
Any further missed matches will have to be scored as a default.
The deployment deadlines remain in place, even if a substitute is used. It's in the player's interest to make arrangements ahead of time. The player and substitute should agree between themselves how many fp to deploy.
If for whatever reason a player drops out of the competition altogether, a substitute will replace them. The substitute will take over their score, reserves, etc.
Scoring
Each match that is played will be scored as follows:
For losing the match: 0 points
For a draw: 1 point
For winning the match: 3 points
Win Bonus
If you win and you have deployed less fp than your opponent, you will be awarded 2 bonus points.
End of Season Bonus
When the season is over, the player in each division who has deployed the fewest fp from his reserve will be awarded a bonus of 6 points.
If there is a tied situation, the 6 points will be divided equally between the number of players involved.
Divisions
Whichever player has the highest number of points at the end of the season will win their division. In the event of a tie, the one who used the fewest of their reserves will win.
If there is still a tie, then the relevant players head to head results will come into play ie. if player a & player b were tying, and player b beat player a in their group games player b would win.
Promotions
At the end of the season the top 2 players from division 2 will be promoted into division 1, and obviously the bottom 2 players will be relegated.
Medals
